Parents for HAD-4-Kids

KidsWe understand the importance of your child's hearing. Many developmental factors, such as speech and language, are highly dependent on your child's auditory function.

We understand that the price of hearing aids can be daunting for the best of parents. Because nothing with kids is 100% tamper-proof, most parents struggle to keep up pay full-price for new hearing aids every 3-5 years!

We understand how rarely insurnace companies cover services such as hearing aids for your children.  We have been working with state representatives to create awareness of these issues.

WIth these points in mind, the HearingAidDocsTM audiologists saw a need for low-cost options for parents with children who have hearing loss. So, we have developed a program called HAD-4-KidsTM.  It is a program that can give the parents an option with their budget in mind.

HAD-4-KidsTM offers a select number of hearing aids that we believe, as audiologists,  are most appropriate for children. We have thought of several features and factors with children in mind, such as FM system capability or other features that can be added to the hearing aids such as tamper-proof battery doors and pediatric size earhooks.

Included in our selection are hearing aids for teenagers who may be a little more conscientious of style. Whether your child is 15 weeks old or 15 years old, you can find what is right for your child. In order to take part in our program, your child must be 18 years or younger and must have seen an audiologist for a hearing evaluation within the past six months.

If you decide to purchase a hearing aid from the HAD-4-KidsTM program, the hearing aid must be fit by a licensed audiologist who may charge a fee for their services. If your child is less than 6 years old or is developmentally delayed, it is preferable that you seek a Pediatric Audiologist.  We recommend making a decision on the actual type and model of the hearing aid with your audiologist. The audiologist's recommendation must match your selection.

Hearing aids purchased from the HearingaidDocsTM are delivered to the hearing healthcare provider. The hearing aids are disabled and can only be programmed by a hearing healthcare provider who has the equipment capable of programming hearing aids.
